Also, Dean Cain (Citizen Cain; Forrest Gump) offers a masterful performance as a troubled and indebted Vietnam veteran whose only hope for love is a talking porcupine, a performance so good it literally breathes literacy into ordinary animals. PETA doesn't like filming hedgehogs? WHO CARE?! If you don't like this movie, then it's on you, brother. I gotta wonder: how those actors and director man didn't get pricked by those sharp porcupine quills (ouch!). My only problem with the movie: the bad guys never die, even when they fall off a ladder (ouch!).
