Tom M This has 'C' movie written all over it. Bad sound, uneasy editing and a slightly rosy picture of the Hells Angels. But this is the seventies. Hippies and Angels holding hands in the starlight. Tell that to Altamont. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Audience Member I feel like writing a strongly worded letter of complaint to New World Pictures or filing a law suit for false advertisement. The cover has Gary Busy solo with an uzi. The film has him as a hippy with just a bit part. It had an interesting premise with a gang of biker's overstaying their welcome on a hippy commune. This had the potential for a classic turn of the tables vigilante flick. Instead it's just a distorted mess with a few sufer looking chicks getting their bangers out. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This biker film is best known as the first film written by Jonathan Demme and containing the first prominent screen roles for Scott Glenn and Gary Busey. Glenn plays the leader of a trio of Hell's Angels (one of whom is James Iglehart from "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls") who hook up with another bike gang the Dragons, who have been hanging out in an abandoned ghost town with a group of hippies. When one of the hippie girls is raped and murdered by one of the Dragons, the leader of the Dragons hangs the crime on Glenn and sets out to punish them. A reasonably entertaining biker flick packed with violence and nudity ... pretty much what one should expect. You can get this on any number of PD DVDs, but you're better off just watching it on YouTube since the quality is abysmal. This was rumoured to be coming out as part of Shout Factory's Roger Corman Classics series, but it has yet to surface. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This piece of 70's exploitation, low grade Easy Rider wanna be won me over with its pulpy look and classic exploitation lines like "we're gonna kill you now, you dig" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I couldn't even finish this movie. And even though Busey is on the front lines, he seems to portray a secondary role, not entering the film until well after it was established. For a biker flick, Busey, you are not as hard as they come. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Inspired by Easy Rider, this early 70s movie follow a gang of bikers. Led by Scott Glenn, they join a hippie commune in the desert. After a young female resident is murdered, the bikers are blamed and must fight for their freedom. Hard to follow, not the least helped by the poor transfer to DVD. It was more likely taken from an old VHS tape than an actual film negative. Do not be fooled by the box, the art was probably stolen from other sources. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
