John Form (Ward Horton) thinks he's found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia (Annabelle Wallis) : a vintage doll in a beautiful white dress. However, the couple's delight doesn't last long: One terrible night, devil worshippers invade their home and launch a violent attack against the couple. As a huge fan of the Conjuring/ Anabelle world, I can say this is the most random movie of the bunch. There is no real rhyme or reason for the movie. I would say it starts slow for a while and then gets a little interesting but not for too long. But I will say if you like scares it will scare you a little. Not terrible in fact compared to most horror movies not bad at all.

Canónicamente, esta es la primera película de terror que vi en el cine, tenía 14 años y ha eso añádele que no había ninguna otra alma en la sala más que yo, por lo tanto, en todo momento tenia el hundillo en la mano, listo para salir corriendo de la sala. Dejando lo anterior de lado, volverla a ver después de 9 años de bastante conocimiento y experiencia en el cine de terror, y de que su propio universo se haya expandido tanto, hace que Annabelle pase a ser la película más básica y olvidable de esta franquicia; ya nadie habla absolutamente de ella, y tras lo bien recibidas que fueron su secuela y su precuela, parece que esta ya ni siquiera forma parte del canon. Solo es un spin off de los pocos momentos de terror que tiene Annabelle en la película de El Conjuro, ni siquiera es un spin off tal cual de la muñeca, y habiéndola visto de manera cronológica, esta si se sintió completamente una perdida de tiempo.

Religiously strong and a nice message about a mother protecting her child. Annabelle is a very good add-on in The Conjuring Universe and the legacy of the beautiful Annabelle doll.(It has an amazing soundtrack)

This was certainly not the worst Conjuring universe movie, but not the best. I think Annabelle creation is easily the best in this story, and annabelle comes home is just terrible so this sits just in the middle. Some good jump scares (I know a lot of people say they are just cheap but I love jump scares so it works for me) I think it's a decent standard possession/demon film. I watched it last week and honestly already pretty well forget most of it so not very memorable in the slightest and I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to recommend it to others but I do think it is a really good film for first time horror fans/people not much into the genre - it will give u some good scares but is pretty entry level
