Anne Frank - Parallel was informative. I found the young actress texting during the event a wee bit annoying. The rest of the documentary was well done. Helen Mirren's narrative was heartfelt.

This was an atrocious treatment of such an important life. The hash tagging was nonsensical and a pathetic grab at attempting modern day relevance and whilst I love Helen Mirren, what on earth was she thinking? Over acting and false compassion brings this treatment down to a non returnable level amateur production. One word for Helen, cringeworthy! Helen, I am sure is compassionate towards Anne Frank's plight, however it is masked by awfully adolescent direction. I only persevered because Anne, and the parallel lives represented, deserved to be heard.

I have been on a history kick recently and this is one of the most potent documentaries on the Holocaust and the impact it has had on the people who lived through it. Absolutely loved this.
