Andrés M Jeselnik's shift toward a more human presence robs his jokes of the cold, calculated precision that once made them so devastatingly effective. Did someone convince him that a looser, less polished version of his persona would bring him closer to the audience? All it did was blunt his humor. Unfortunately, the jokes themselves don't save him either. Too many punchlines were predictable—a first for me with Jeselnik's specials. But worst of all, we catch glimpses of his real opinions here—about Joe Rogan and similar topics—and it's clear he isn’t as deep or clever as his stage persona once suggested. It's hard to like a comedian known for his cool detachment when he gets tangled in middle-school-level drama. I certainly don’t want another 20 years of this version of Jeselnik. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Felix C Like Jimmy Carr and many other offensive comics who rose to fame because of the “Comedy Central Roast”. It’s becoming clear that they weren’t true comics or lovers of the craft. Still relying on off color one liners for a quick “oh my, I can’t believe he said that. Someone will get mad” type of humor. Trouble is, no one cares anymore as they once did. All his humor has been done to death, at this point. People have become so desensitized, that it his style is humor is boring. It’s like watching a toddler curse to get a reaction out of the adults. Because they think it’s cute and Funny, trouble is it’s not anymore. It’s just desperation and screaming for attention. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Dave P Best one in a while. Can sense his confidence. More rapid fire jokes than previous specials. Throws a few curve balls at you which was fun. Laughed a ton. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Amelia G Finally! Love when you can tell there's a reason you waited for the next one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Yash B It has been a while since Anthony Jeselnik released a special, so I was pleased to see a new one, "Bones and All," appear on Netflix today. I think his style of comedy where topics are dark and messed up and jokes are designed for misdirection is fun to watch. His style is unique and I always admire that in a comedian. I do think the type of comedy he does isn't always that good for comedic storytelling, but I do find myself laughing at a lot of the misdirected punchlines, so it was a quick and engaging watch. Overall, I think this is a solid addition to his library of comedy specials and think fans of his should enjoy it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review J H Not his best. Not as clever and as biting as usual. Actually kinda boring and somewhat predictable. Put me to sleep several times, ngl. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
