Antonia (Saskia Reeves) is a beautiful, smart and successful woman who gets everything she wants. Her best friend, Jane (Imelda Staunton), on the other hand, is overweight and introverted. Jane resents how outgoing and attractive Antonia is, and longs for her life. Ironically, Antonia wishes she were more like Jane, who she believes leads a more interesting and adventurous existence. Somehow the two women manage to make their emotionally turbulent relationship work.
