Steve (Taylor Gray) is a night watchman in his early 20s but his life is already getting away from him: his band is falling apart, he owes a ton of money, and he's in love with his best friend's girl. When Marty Lyons (Paul Guilfoyle) comes along and ropes Steve into a world of misfits, oddballs, and lost souls as dirty as the Charles River, Steve wonders if this is a change for the better of if he's about to make the worst mistake of his life.

Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment Guilfoyle is getting the rare chance to really have fun as a bad-ass career criminal who presents himself as cooler than anyone else in the room. I’ve seen the actor play heavies and broadly comic before, but this was an absolute delight to observe. Rated: 7/10 May 23, 2025 Full Review Daniel M. Kimmel North Shore Movies ANY DAY NOW is a quirky buddy comedy that will mostly be of interest to people with ties to Boston. Writer/director Eric Aronson has chosen to piggyback his fictional story on top of the real story of the still-unsolved 1990 Gardner Museum heist. Rated: 3/5 May 20, 2025 Full Review Roger Friedman Showbiz 411 “Any Day Now” isn’t perfect, but when Guilfoyle gets to sing the Standells’ “Dirty Water” it’s like that moment in Belfast for Jamie Dornan. Marty is a man of many layers and Guilfoyle makes the most of his nuanced past. Rated: B+ May 19, 2025 Full Review Justin Bower Loud and Clear Reviews It’s a film set in Boston for the people who aren’t enamored with its tourist sites, but rather know it for its ordinary settings. [...] Though it is at times predictable due to comedy and heist movie tropes, it remains a good and enjoyable watch. Loved the nuanced humor worked in throughout. Paul Guilfoyle was a presence every time he was on screen and a revelation. Very well crafted and paced, I enjoyed it from start to finish. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/25 Full Review Brian B Really enjoyable film. Smart & witty take on what might have happened, but - like they say in the intro - probably didn’t. The famous heist serves as a cool backdrop for colorful characters and some interesting relationship twists. Exceeded expectations & looking forward to seeing it again with a new perspective. Pretty authentic Boston dialogue & scenery too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/30/25 Full Review Milton B Smart, gritty and engaging.... based around the greatest art heist of all time. Guilfoyle carries the load in this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review John H An enjoyable take on the Stewart Gardner heist. Paul Guilfoyle and Taylor Gray both gave impressive performances and worked together well. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
