Ken B @MrBelmont Mar 21 I know the original B&W Rosemary’s Baby film was a big hit, although I was never a huge fan. This take on the story was a bit better and it’s always nice to see Dianne Wiest! I thought it moved along better than the slow burning of Rosemary's baby. I would have liked to have seen Julia Garner nude though. That's my only gripe. Polanski’s movie is not only enormously superior to this movie but to so many other oneafter that have taken SO MUCH from it. Apartment 7a brings absolutely nothing to the table. It is basically a remake, because more or less it happens the same, just in a less absorbing way. Brings nothing new and fails in capturing the 60s. Strangely the 50 years difference resulted i a lot less intensity and oppressive sensation. It should have really gone in a totally different direction to make it worthy, like for example that Terry knows from the beginning what is going on in thebuilding and actually gets willingly involved with them and maybe something goes out of control.
