What to Know

Critics Consensus

Apartment 7A is slickly assembled and solidly acted, but the lingering memory of Rosemary's Baby and a predictable prequel template make for a sub(par)lease.

Paul M Nice little scary watch. The effects aren't scary, just the premise. It's like Rosemary's Baby only with a better ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Jason R Anchored by a typically excellent performance from Julia Garner, and solidly directed, the movie doesn't catch a lot of fresh game, but is still a respectable companion piece to Rosemary's Baby. It isn't strictly "necessary," and doesn't add a great deal to the world/lore, but it's fun, stylish, and really well made. And Dianne Wiest is a national treasure. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Sherri jyoti H Sadly, no one should try to recreate Rosemary's Baby. It can't be done. At the time it was made, life was magical, the actors were icons, it was the right movie at the right time. Garner is a favorite of mine and I think she should fire her agent and give her head a shake for taking on this bland completely flat movie. But, she's so great, what happened to her in here? She disappeared. The movie was crap but you'd think she'd come shining through, so disappointed for her career I have wishes for her of great fame and riches. Pick much much better next time Garner, hold out for the best. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review butterfly b I loved it. Very creative and the acting was on point. The cinematography was beautifully done and very art nouveau. A little predictable but very entertaining and captivating from start to finish. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Tom F A few moments indicate this might turn interesting, but it never happens. Julia Garner is terrific in everything else I’ve seen her in, but here she is consistently blank and unconvincing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/24 Full Review DANIEL W Enjoyed the devil out of this one. Great cast Julia Garner and Dianne Weiss were fun to watch campy at times. Definitely add to your watch list Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
