What to Know

Critics Consensus

Apartment 7A is slickly assembled and solidly acted, but the lingering memory of Rosemary's Baby and a predictable prequel template make for a sub(par)lease.

What ensues is the exact same thing that happened to Mia Farrow’s wife, except minus the creepy surprise and, thus, any reason to pay attention. Go to Full Review

If the film had a more coherent point or was more willing to stand apart from its predecessor, it could have been something truly special. But, like its doomed protagonist, it just keeps stumbling under the spotlight. Go to Full Review

Apartment 7A is largely successful, both as a prequel and as a stand-alone film. It carries the unfortunate weight of simply being a prequel to a classic film, but it largely does so with grace [...] Go to Full Review

Young S. @Stevie Oct 15 It’s not very good, don’t waste your time. See more Candace B. @Candylust Sep 28 I enjoyed the aesthetic of it. The story was a bit predictable but excellent. And The ending was perfect! See more sharon k Sep 14 Naturally it's predictable( which seems to be the most prominent complaint) -I don't see that as a problem. Due to the source material-I don't see how it could not be- while remaining true to the original film. In my opinion-changing such a masterpiece just to surprise the audience would have been a big mistake. The acting was fantastic- the Castevets were spot on- so good! If you're a fan on Rosemary's baby- you will enjoy it! See more alessandra p Sep 6 Not horrible by any means. Kept me captivated. I guess I just expected something different. One that I will likely forget very soon. It did well to grab me from the beginning and I enjoyed the ending. Good acting. But yeah just no new premise or anything majorly exciting in my books See more Muhammad T Aug 24 Im really surprised by the bad reviews, this was an excellent horror movie, very similar to Rosemarys baby, but modern, more realistic than most horror movies. See more Drew F Jul 23 Well acted and directed. The story line is okay. The back end of the movie gets a little weird and I’m not sure in a good way. Probably wouldn’t recommend but could be a decent one time watch. See more Read all reviews
