Jason Shawhan Nashville Scene This is not a good film, but it's an interesting enough one, though it's not to be confused with the arcade-themed segment from the omnibus Nightmares starring Emilio Estevez. Stephen B Good idea for a movie. Low budget, but that's ok! This might be a great example of how not to set your camera's shutter, speed, exposure, and frame rates… So for people learning how to do those things, this is what happens when you don't get it right… Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Audience Member Attractive cast, simple teenage story, perhaps a bit simple and low budget, it shows. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Granted, it's not the worst film I've ever seen, but it's down there, wallowing at the bottom Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review camille l Réalisé par le grand Albert Pyun et produite par le pape de la série Z américaine 90s, Charles Band, on sait très bien dans quoi on se lance avec Arcade et on a exactement ce qu'on veut. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review anthony j So so bad! This film has one really good idea, but everything about it's execution fails. Peter Billingsly and Seth Green were particularly awful in this. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Alex and her friends are invited to test out a brand-new video game, Arcade, which promises that "Reality will never be the same." Unfortunately for them, it's true! Arcade sucks in its players in to the gaming world to compete in a battle of life or death against the sinister force that controls it! While the special effects are severely dated by today's standards, ARCADE creates an incredible virtual world that can easily compete with the level of design found in THE LAWNMOWER MAN or HACKERS from the same era. John de Lancie, Megan Ward, A.J. Langer, and Seth Green all populate the young cast from their pre-television days, working off of a script by BATMAN BEGINS' David Goyer. The third-rate performances and unconvincing plot do not take away from the overall enjoyment of the picture, although it does rely heavily on the audience's willingness to suspend disbelief. ARCADE amounts to nothing more than a light horror version of TRON that is safe enough for an after school special, but if you are a fan of THE LAWNMOWER MAN or the "Bishop of Battle" segment from 1983's NIGHTMARES, be sure to check this one out! -Carl Manes I Like Horror Movies Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
