David Edelstein New York Magazine/Vulture It's funny, clunky, earnest, and barely credible, but it's all of a piece. Aug 22, 2014 Full Review Susan Wloszczyna RogerEbert.com A comedy with no laughs. A drama disconnected from any known reality. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 22, 2014 Full Review Liam Lacey Globe and Mail Everything about Are You Here feels like a bottom-drawer script idea that was put together too casually and carelessly. Rated: 1/4 Aug 22, 2014 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse A comedy about substance abuse and bi polar behavior, it's not as funny as a movie starring Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis should be nor is it as insightful as Weiner likely intended. Rated: 2/5 Feb 1, 2021 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com A nauseous, floundering excuse for a film. Rated: 1/5 Aug 30, 2019 Full Review David Brake One Room With A View Wilson and co. aim for something deep and profound, but there's nothing to be found here aside from disappointment and frustration Rated: 2/5 May 17, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Lary T This was a genius movie. Complicated and thought provoking. I think the third act felt a little rushed, but it sticks the landing with the final scene. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/25 Full Review Rob A It was actually heartfelt and interesting; a hybrid comedy/ drama that was different and new. Are You Here certainly has its haters - but I'm not one of them. There were no "good" or "bad" guys; all the characters were much more complex. Zach Gallifinakis even shaves his beard halfway through. A tepid thumbs up (for me anyway). Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Audience Member Embarrassing. This is the type of movie you would turn off on an airplane, even if it was the only one playing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/25 Full Review Sam R I don't know why this movie has such a bad rating on here. It is brilliant. Maybe because its brilliance is subtle. It is deep and real and these things are presented in such simple, honest ways. God damn. This movie was such a pleasant surprise, I love it so much Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review Tee V An event which leaves one asking, What the hell happened here? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review rosadobber a Absolute waste of time. Don't wait for the good stuff- it never comes. Reason enough to never watch Owen Wilson in anything ever again.
