Audience Member A total art house film, why it doesn't say that or marketed that way... who knows... Watched with the lights off and got freaked out with the voices. Seriously had to turn the lights back on! That in itself merits my vote. Other than that a slow paced artsy film. Some will like that though. Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Arise from Darkness should not have been marketed as a Horror film, in fact the original movie premier at the LA Invasion Film Festival 2017 was promoted as Art House and called ‘When my Eyes go Dark.' To promote the film as Horror was a marketing mistake as the film is Art House paranormal, truly unique in that matter. Go into the film with that in the back of your mind and you will enjoy it! Watch the film in the dark and the voices (really from exorcisms) will creep you out! That is how the film originally was and should have been marketed. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this one, but they really botched the marketing of a very different type of film.
