Arizona will provide twisted thrills and ludicrous drollery for Danny McBride diehards; everyone else may seek greener pastures.

Lucas S The kind of thing that if see in a toilet you will flush it Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review John K i rarely turn a movie off- i did this one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Bill M I thought Danny McBride was great in his role. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/23 Full Review amanda g I hated this movie so much. Not funny or exciting and the main characters constantly made horrible decisions. This is one of the worst movies over ever seen and Cassie constantly angered me with her stupid choice. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review Andrew W I think you have to understand the 2009 housing crisis in Arizona specifically to like the movie. I think people find the situation implausible or not a good catalyst so it ruins the movie for them. As someone who lived through it, I believe this movie is actually a conglomeration of true stories during that period in Arizona specifically (Blanco/Cranston, Michael Brian Miller). A lot of dumb horrible things happened in AZ at this time...well all the time really. Everyone's life is a mess, everyone is divorced, everyone has lost tons of money, no one can pay their overpriced mortgage. I like that Danny McBride is an idiot with no plan, he's just a bro man-child with a bunch of guns and a failed business who just makes bad decisions that get worse and worse. I like that the movie is sloppy, I like that everyone is incompetent, I like that everything is unceremonious and cumbersome. The only thing I did not like was the ending. The last 20 minutes of the movie should have gone differently. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review Cristina P This film got serious fast. Danny McBride is an amazing actor. He was unhinged in this film. Although, due to who the actors were in this film you expect a comedy, it definitely was not. I do like that the actors you'd find in comedies end up being in situations where you'd not expect them to be killed off quick. No one had a chance and I liked that. I was surprised with this film because it did not end being what I thought it would be. I'm a fan. Watch it. But leave your expectations at the door. Be open to enjoy the craziness of how quickly an unhinged, bad tempered human can be capable of. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

James Berardinelli ReelViews A film that's neither funny nor exciting, although it often seems to be straining to be one or the other. Rated: 2/4 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com Arizona might have worked better as a smart-ass social commentary if its tsk-tsking of consumerist myopia wasn't so consistently on the nose and its plot didn't swiftly devolve into slasher movie cliches. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Tom Long Detroit News This 85-minute, "Ten Little Indian"-style comedy-horror mash-up is basically a cameo-studded muddle that may have looked good on paper, but movie screens aren't made of paper. Rated: D+ Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review The closer you look at Arizona, the less funny and escapist it becomes, and I'm certain that's by design. The exercise doesn't always work, but when it does, it can sting. Jun 23, 2020 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed Arizona is a dark comedy thriller that works on both sides of the coin, with the dark comedy working well and the thriller part being decent. Rated: 4/5 Apr 11, 2020 Full Review Peter Sobczynski eFilmCritic.com Often grotesque and thoroughly witless. Feb 21, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
