Monica Riese Austin Chronicle Alex Dobrenko and Ashley Spillers are perfect for their title roles... and the supporting work from the rest of the small ensemble is delightfully charming as well. Jul 6, 2015 Full Review Justin Chang Variety Ultimately a sweet, simple ode to the virtues of honesty and commitment in a relationship, "Arlo & Julie" may be a trifle at day's end, but it's a deft and pleasurable one. Jul 6, 2015 Full Review Kerry Lengel Arizona Republic This low-key effort from indie filmmaker Steve Mims is as wispy as dandelion fluff but still makes for an amusing 76-minute ride, thanks to its charmingly quirky cast. Rated: 3/5 May 14, 2015 Full Review Matt Shiverdecker Austin American-Statesman Dobrenko and Spillers are delightful in their leading roles. Their comic timing is flawless, and they have a tremendous chemistry, pushing the story forward even as it starts to get a little wacky. Rated: A- Jul 6, 2015 Full Review John Gholson Birth.Movies.Death. The pay-off is logical (if convoluted), and has real consequences to the relationship between the two, which deserves its own special recognition, seeing as how so many tiny indies think that the journey is its own reward.
