Audience Member Covers the same ground as "First Man" but also delves more into Armstrong's early life and later life. As a documentary, it lacks some of the drama of "First Man." However, there is maybe more historical accuracy here, including some home movies and newsreel footage. A very watchable documentary for anyone interested in Armstrong. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Martha Khatchatooriantz Excellent documentary that showed us who Neil Armstrong was. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/19/19 Full Review Calypso559 Excellent documentary with interesting interviews from each family member and readings from Armstrongs journal. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/16/19 Full Review lisa s Had little knowledge about the personal side of Neil Armstrong. This movie really gave the viewer a front row seat about one the most famous (if not THE most) man in the U.S. space program. So much I didn't know about this tremendously talented, smart and humble man. Will see it again tomorrow with some friends.. Can't wait..... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Perfect tribute. The home videos made it touching and intimate. The soundtrack was well-crafted as well. Footage of Karen was so sweet. Loved the film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Matt Zoller Seitz RogerEbert.com The movie is sleek, smart, and reasonably thorough, and it offers the enticement of never-before-seen home movies provided by Armstrong's family. Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times With the 50th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon just days away, movies dealing with the event have been thick on the land for awhile. But even if you think you've seen enough, "Armstrong" is worth your time. Jul 13, 2019 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian This retelling of the Neil Armstrong story has been eclipsed by superior studies of his historic lunar mission. Rated: 2/5 Jul 12, 2019 Full Review Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's not remarkable in terms of craft... but they do get some amazing interviews. Oct 2, 2019 Full Review Jim Ross Film Inquiry Armstrong's shortcomings are exacerbated by unflattering comparisons. Rather than looking skyward, Armstrong awkwardly looks at its feet, the film eclipsed by other efforts both fictional and factual. Jul 24, 2019 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion It's a worthy celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the moon landing and of the man who took the one small step that was also a giant leap for mankind.
