Audience Member STINKS!! Cry me a river union people. Maybe now you'll figure out what the world is really like instead of sponging off everyone else. You all act like you've been so wronged. Meanwhile the rest of deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis. One thing this film fails to mention is how high off the hog some of these so-called victims are living. Many of them still drive and own expensive gas guzzlers and take trips to vegas on average once a month. Then their lawyer friends negotiate and cut deals in court for them and they get off scott free while leaving the financial burden for the tax payers by filing bankruptsy. Many of the people in this town are scum and practically drove GM away with their crazy expectations and lousy work ethic. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Very good movie. Saw the longer version at the Chicago Film Festival. Several of those involved in making the movie were there for Q&A afterwards which was great. Rather even handed portrayal of the situation with focus on both local businessmen and workers. The 'case studies' presented were well done. Shows there's no easy answers. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting look at the effects of the GM plant closure in Janesville, and the Influence of bankers and investors in trying to find a new post-automotive path. Also touches on Walker and his first year in office. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
