Shock Therapy R Laborious and time consuming. What is the word for fear of eternally lost time over a circuitous and meaningless relational juxtaposition? It is what you'd expect of high schoolers including the big, bad bully. But what can be learned here? Jealousy? Hormones? Retribution? Absent father? The bully dies? Okay. Who cares? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/26/22 Full Review james l First of all the protagonist is a miserable excuse for a human who hates living in a beautiful locale, whilst also treating everyone terribly unless they are currently in a relationship with a psycho. It's slow, painful to watch and nobody dances to rock music like that in the woodland party scene. The only redeeming factor is that the cinematography is great and it's the only reason I could bring myself to give a whole star out of 5. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/04/22 Full Review Audience Member The characters were real and relatable to my 15yr old daughter. She wants to work in film so this was a great film to take her to see. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This is growing to become one of my favourite films, Guy Davies directed with such passion and adds a new & amazing instalment to the Coming of Age genre! Love this film! Can't wait for the blu ray Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Kevin Maher Times (UK) Some artful framing and golden-hour cinematography from Stefan Yap, as well as some soothing musical montages from the writer-director Guy Davies are not enough to overcome the achingly familiar nature of this teenage coming-of-age tale. Rated: 2/5 Nov 2, 2020 Full Review Ellen E Jones Guardian Philophobia hails from a bygone era to which we must never return. Rated: 1/5 Oct 27, 2020 Full Review Alif Majeed Battle Royale With Cheese As the movie slowly trudges to its predictable ending. Pity because it is a well-shot and well-acted movie otherwise. Jul 8, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Skilfully shot in rural England, this drama evokes that adolescent mix of confidence and uncertainty. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 6, 2020 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat Director Guy Davies shows a great deal of skill in Philophobia. His story is clean and easy to follow with a good balance between light and serious moments, and best of all, he lets his actors act. Rated: 7.5/10 Nov 18, 2019 Full Review Tynan Yanaga Film Inquiry While it's not able to fully articulate its myriad of ideas, at least it's brave enough to extend itself and to be something of its own creation.
