Namrata Joshi Outlook On paper it would seem difficult to pull off a film like Asha Jaoar Majhe that rests on banal daily rhythms, but Sengupta fashions a lovely tale of love in times of recession. Rated: 3/4 Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Deborah Young The Hollywood Reporter The attractive actors are easy to watch, though their silent, enigmatic performances deliberately withhold information from the viewer until the end. Without social interaction of any kind, they remain abstract, symbolic figures. Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Jay Weissberg Variety Evocative images are meant to make it poetic, yet watching water evaporate in a hot pan really doesn't add much. Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Mark Adams Screen International The film works well in terms of its visual and its immersive sound design, but not so much as a story about real people. Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Upam Buzarbaruah The Times of India It shows, rather convincingly at that, how drama and detailing can keep the audience glued to seats even if none of the actors mouth a single word. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Anuj Kumar The Hindu Here is a filmmaker who underlines that cinema is a visual medium and you don't need dialogues to make your point.
