Russ Lots of plot threads conveniently wrapped up in the final reveal. The love interest is rather cute: innocent young thing falls for the older man of mystery and danger. Looks like another film shot in Europe to keep the budget down, but not too badly done. An OK watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Patrick O'Neal is a private eye hired to investigate a shipping magnate suspected of deliberately sinking his own ships as part of an insurance scam. As with most thrillers of this sort, O'Neal gets caught up in all sorts of murder and intrigue. Overall, it's an okay thriller, though this story is rather humdrum. However, the strong cast elevates the bland story. O'Neal is particularly good and is an actor who I've always like and felt was painfully underused. The same could be said for the beautiful Joan Hackett. John Gielgud and Herbert Lom round out the strong supporting cast, who do make the film worth watching.
