In futuristic Metro City, a brilliant scientist named Tenma builds Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore), a robotic child with superstrength, X-ray vision and the ability to fly. Astro Boy sets out to explore the world and find acceptance, learning what being human is all about in the process. Bowers's play-it-straight attitude towards the material combined with the crisp, if unspectacular, animation doesn't allow 'Astro Boy' a moment to bob its head above the ever-swelling digimation pack.

I think the lyrics to the original 1960's series theme song sum it all up "CROWDS WILL CHEER YOU, YOU'RE A HERO, AS YOU GO, GO, GO, ASTRO BOY!"

This movie was amazing! The story was compelling and the design of Astro Boy's world was truly spectacular. I'm shocked to see how low this movie's score is. I watched it so many times as a kid and I still like it to this day. I definitely recommend it!
