Audience Member Movie is atomic bomb. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review kevin w Cutesy, nearly lame-o sight gags are the upshot of this attempt to cash in on early atomic age jitters as a guy (Mickey Rooney) wanders into a nuclear bomb testing site just as they're, err, testing. Buddy comedy elements are haphazardly added (with rubber-faced Robert Strauss) to fluff this very thin work wherein Rooney survives (just like Indiana Jones, Crystal Skull, refrigerator sequence) to get a chance at romance with the government nurse attending him. Old school late night sleep aid here, guaranteed not habit forming. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This film despite its subject matter & not so funny humor I found myself enjoying the film even though it's rather silly. The story of two men accidentally stumbling across an A-Bomb test site & Mickey Rooney is in the dummy test home eating a peanut butter sandwich which the nuclear blast happens. The first 2/3's of the film are funny & entertaining but the last 1/3 tries to hard to go for laughs & fizzles out. Great for a film buff but ultimately a little silly but strangely charming.
