It has a spectacular opening sequence, and features a few minor tweaks to alien-invasion tropes. But the teen romance at its center reduces this to a very inconsequential first contact.

When a film isn’t about "the Americans saving the world," when there is no chosen hero, no flag, no spectacle of power — suddenly it’s called bad. But Attraction dared to say something far more dangerous. That humanity is not saved by force, but by trust. That we are not valuable because we are strong, but because we are still capable of love. And that line… "Someone in the universe believed in us more than we believed in ourselves." That isn’t just a line. It’s a mirror held up to humanity — both an accusation and a quiet hope. And the other truth it dares to speak: that there is something greater than immortality. Love. Not love as a reward. Not romance. Not a happy ending. But love as the choice not to destroy, even when you have the power to do so. That kind of truth doesn’t score well on IMDb. Because it asks for responsibility, not applause. Presence, not spectacle. So yes — the film is good. It is honest. And it hurts. That’s not a bad film. That’s a brave one.

Why are Russian films now scripted by 13-yr-olds? There is simply nothing attractive about "Attraction." This limp excuse for a movie is insipid, shallow, and lacking in logic, or even common sense. Do NOT waste any time on it.

The pace is perfect between action and character development. The cgi is great; romance takes you in. Plot was believable and without holes. What else could you ask for from sci-fi? I enjoyed Coma, and this was even better.

I liked the change of perspective from the tired Hollywood versions. I was surprised at the quality of the actors and cinematography.

I enjoyed the movie. Was very interesting to see science fiction from a Russian point of view. I thought it was a great movie with a good message, “they trusted us more than we trusted ourselves”.
