Includes an overview of the history of the Sacred Harp songbook (which is explored in even greater detail in the DVD extras) as well as an overview of how shape note singing works. I would have been more interested in the history and theory behind sacred harp music, especially its roots in medieval and renaissance Europe, than the hour-long discussion of how the singers felt about the Sacred Harp and what an extraordinary experience it is to take part in a sing. Gets three stars because the music featured in the movie is gorgeous.
