Before RRR took the world by storm, master filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli redefined Indian Cinema with his two-part BAAHUBALI saga. Now, the epic tale of royalty, revenge, kings, and wars has been personally re-edited by the master himself from two films into a single unforgettable cinematic experience, with fully remastered picture and sound (and a few new surprises), so audiences can reunite to experience the euphoria the way it was intended: on the big screen. When a lost prince is rescued and raised in exile, he grows up unaware of his past. Years later, he returns to uncover the truth about his father's murder and his mother's imprisonment, and must rise to reclaim his place as the rightful king.

‘Baahubali: The Epic' may not deliver a better edit or experience, but it does highlight what was already great, especially once it settles into a groove following a ten-minute intermission break. Go to Full Review

This tenth-anniversary victory lap for the Baahubali story should attract fresh appraisals, and the deadly loyalty of the royal soldier Kattappa (Sathyaraj) lands with only greater force in our politically fraught era. Go to Full Review

The appropriately titled, nearly four-hour “Baahubali: The Epic” condenses footage from both halves of S.S. Rajamouli’s industry-shifting action duology but maintains the filmmaker’s vision and his pulse-pounding visual splendor. Go to Full Review

"Baahubali: The Epic" is the result of mixing a Disney musical with The Lord of the Rings. Believe me when I say, that's a great thing! The film is a powerful beast with plenty of spectacle, emotional moments and heart. Indian cinema at its finest! Go to Full Review

Samuel H Nov 13 One of the great epic films of the new century. Powerfully moving, over-the-top action. You have to go in with the understanding that Indian cinema, especially in the hands of Telugu auteur S.S. Rajamouli, is so outrageous, so spectacular, you may be overwhelmed by the whole thing. This version is edited down from two movies at 5:30 to one film at 4 hours with an intermission. The edits do make for a slightly confusing plot but stick with it. By the end everything will have made sense. Must see filmmaking. See more Nelly C Nov 7 I really like this movie. Color, music, and story are amazing. A lot of the magic is lost with the missing content. A whole love story arc was just glossed over and just felt rushed. Feels like this was the "action recut" edition but without the meat and potatoes of what made the characters really pop. 5/5 for original, 2.5/5 just because it looked great on the big screen and still was baahubali ish at the end of the day.
