Penny Morris (Judy Garland), also a singer, teams up with Tommy to produce a show that will benefit orphaned children. Everyone is doing their high kicks cheerily to "The Robert E. Lee" in blackface in this one, it's even featured in the trailer for the film. Watch at the risk of uncomfortable conversations with yourself.

Sensational. If you don't like old time movies or musicals, you will despise this film. To everyone else, it's a nonstop, feel good, delightful film filled with great songs, singing and dancing. I don't need to say anymore

A superb sequel to Babes in Arms, also directed by Berkeley, this musical sees Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney impersonate Carmen Miranda, George Cohan; the couple's appearance in black face was not controversial at the time.
