Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the film trades his usual gritty realism for a more breezy, comedic tone, making for a pleasant if somewhat predictable watch. The absolute heart of the film is Tamannaah Bhatia. She is great in the title role, shedding her usual glamorous image to play a rustic, brawny, and "phunny" Haryanvi girl. Her transformation is impressive, from mastering the specific accent to nailing the physical body language of a bouncer.
