It's taut, fast, simple, and electrically cathartic. Go to Full Review

A thoroughly standard, pointless and even old-fashioned gangster picture, the kind that began going out along with the oldtime sedans. Go to Full Review

03/12/2016 Nothing special but a good early spotlight role for Carolyn Jones. See more 05/09/2014 Mediocre cops and robbers tale. Though released in 1957, the black n white film appears to be made in 1937. Mickey Rooney stars in his breakout role as a real adult (instead of that series as Andy Hardy). The real star for me is the outrageously appealing Carolyn Jones (who was obviously copied in Pulp Fiction). Rooney's flowery performance as the trigger-happy hood with the inferiority complex over being short and the wall-to-wall action, give this Prohibition-era set B-film its pulse." NOTES: 1 A low budget film shot in 17 days.
