Steve D The problem with films like this is that it is too hard to find convincing actors the proper age. The script is fine. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Farah R The Baby Sitter's Club is a sweet movie that primarily young girls can enjoy. It's about more than just trivial subplots about boys; it focuses on family, friendship, and the responsibilities of maintaining both. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/02/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie wasn't horrible and I guess it would be something that preteens would really enjoy. It is hard not to notice all of the flaws as an adult, though. There were parts of it that genuinely made me laugh, mostly with the little ones at the daycare. The actress who plays the lead girl, Kristie, left quite a bit to be desired as far as her acting skills are concerned. However, she wasn't the only one. Several of the girls had me thinking at certain points that I was watching a highschool play instead of an actual movie. I still found Kristie the most annoying. The parts with her mostly dead beat father did ring true and sparked true emotion and I think that's important especially for younger audiences who are going through the same experiences. All in all it passed the time and wasn't as painful as it probably should have been. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review andy h It's no book or tv show, but some tween or 90s nostalgic person will find joy in this movie that primarily focuses on 2 of the awesome, potential filled characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member What a blast back into the past. I love this series as it hits especially close to home as a type 1 diabetic. I've never seen anything on film not just skirt over the subject but actually addresses the struggles of living with this disease daily in a heartfelt way that others can understand. Another perk is that this show teaches young women how to start pursuing their dreams at a young age. I'll be honest, I didn't expect much out of this but I've joyfully been proven wrong. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie as a kid, I watched this movie for the first time since I was younger last night. The last time I watched this movie I was a kid the movie is very 90's right down to clothes, music etc... in the movie. Seems dated to watch today but it was a cute movie when I was a kid and it still seems cute. As a adult seeing this yes it can come off a bit corny though. This movie means well and it was a nice throwback blast from the past alright movie 2 stars. This movie has some famous faces to look for as kids that went on to other movies. I remember the books as a kid but I don't remember being cool enough to read them though. It would be cool to be able to find the books today, they may be dated but maybe be worth something idk.
