Audience Member Extremely dated, old-fashioned farce that makes no sense today. Also, Bob Hope (who is not an attractive man) is miscast and not believable in the role. Don't waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review steve d Nothing special Hope is always fun but he doesn't have a lot of help. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great performances by some of hollywoods best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Bob Hope plays a ladies man (???) who writes naughty books about the life of a bachelor in various cities around the world, when Bob is commissioned by his publisher to write a book a book about the bachelor life in suburban America. Bob is plopped into a new tract housing development called Paradise Cove and what ensures is basically if you can imagine "Desperate Housewives" had been developed as a TV comedy vehicle for Bob Hope. Lana Turner plays Bob's age-appropriate love interest, although every other husband seems to suspect ladies man Bob of bedding their wives, including pretty wife Paula Prentiss. Overall, it's nothing as good as Bob's best comedies, but I always find Hope charming and quite witty in his one-liners. Worth watching if you're a Bob Hope fan, but probably best avoided if your'e not. Agnes Moorehead, John McGiver, and Reta Shaw also appear in the film and Henry Mancini provides an enjoyably lounge score. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The mild comedy is predictable and trite, in other words it's a typical Bob Hope vehicle. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Here is a Bob Hope comedy without much substance but you have Bob Hope so what more do really need to get a decent laugh? After all no one expects a sophisticated comedy from him. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
