See more 06/21/2020 The combo of Hawn and Sarandon somehow elevates this mess to something borderline enjoyable, but the screenplay lacks comedic timing and witty dialogue. The sentimental bits feel contrived and leave a saccharine-sweet aftertaste, which somehow seems to works against the spirit of the story. On top of all, the one thing I was really disappointed in was the uninspired soundtrack. See more 12/10/2014 Hawn and Sarandon are pretty good as the best friends, but the "seen it before script" and the pedestrian direction kind of drag it down.
