Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express ...the film unravels in the way it tries to mix its allegorical elements with inconsistent plot-points which include terrorists-from-sarhad-paar involved with ‘farming’ innocents: too much obviousness takes away from the delicacy of the rest of it. Rated: 2/5 Nov 8, 2025 Full Review Anuj Kumar The Hindu Director Aditya Suhas Jambhale gets the mood, the atmospherics, and the suspense right, but when the fog subsides, the bombast of the ‘us vs them’ narrative becomes discernible Nov 25, 2025 Full Review Jose Solís Common Sense Media What begins as a stylish thriller turns into a tangled hybrid of social drama, crime story, and horror, until it collapses under the weight of its own ambitions. Rated: 2/5 Nov 20, 2025 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com Manav Kaul is a gritty detective in this Netflix film that mixes crime thriller with the supernatural. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 14, 2025 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider Baramulla brings us to a region of India rich in history and disagreement. But there’s something else lurking in these parts, too, something that cannot be banished through belief or violence, and we enjoyed that built-in tension. Nov 13, 2025 Full Review Rahul Desai The Hollywood Reporter India As a horror film, Baramulla is efficient with its tropes: dysfunctional family, haunted cop, creepy new house, missing children, the possibility of vengeful spirits, gunfights and jump-scares vying for attention, human terror posing as celestial chaos. Karan K Baramulla is a bold and gripping thriller. The story is powerful and emotionally hard-hitting, with strong performances from the entire cast. It fearlessly shows the forgotten plight of Kashmiri Pandits. Why some agenda-driven reviewers are unfairly targeting it? A must-watch film with truth, courage and top-class storytelling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/02/25 Full Review Himanshu J Very well written. A harsh realities of Kashmir Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/02/25 Full Review Claudio C Baramulla (2025) Political and Supernatural Abductions (12,089 – 26 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In Baramulla, Kashmir, the boy Shoaib Ansari (Ahmad Ishaq) disappears inside a box during a magic show. Shoaib is the son of a powerful politician and Police Officer Ridwaan Sayyed (Manav Kaul) is assigned to investigate the case. He moves with his wife Gulnaar Sayyed (Bhasha Sumbli), his estranged teenager daughter Noorie (Arista Mehta) and his son, the boy Ayaan (Singh Rohaan) to an old mansion with the mute caretaker Iqbai (Khursheed Mir) provided by the local police. He goes to the precinct and meets the prime suspect of kidnapping Shoaib, the magician. He concludes that the man is innocent and asks Sub. Insp. Shaukat Ali (Vikas Shukla) to release the man. Meanwhile, weird things happen in Sayyed’s home with his family, but Ridwaan does not give credit to his wife and daughter. When other children disappear at the same school where Shoaib studies, Ridwaan discovers that there are political and supernatural situations involved in the disappearances. Before watching "Baramulla", it is recommended that the viewer reads about the political situation of Kashmir and who the Kashmiri Pandits are to fully comprehend the story. The plot is very complex to Westerns understand and it is necessary additional reading. The story is original and great and certainly will not disappoint. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): Baramulla" My Blog: https://maniacosporfilme.wordpress.com/ Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/25 Full Review Aaditya N Baramulla arrives not just as a film but as a statement. At a time when Indian cinema often shies away from uncomfortable realities, this movie has the courage to confront them head-on. It doesn’t exploit its subject for shock value; instead, it weaves a story that is raw, humane, and unflinchingly honest. The filmmakers have managed to turn a sensitive theme into a piece of powerful storytelling that lingers Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/25 Full Review gulshan t Very good movie with good climax. Showing facts and history in another way. Many people not gonna like this movie as of facts and history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/25 Full Review Kamla J Loved the movie! Haven't seen such a different Horror film in a long while otherwise all of them are just filled with those love angles and unnecessary sensual bits. This is a must watch for all the people who are interested in recent history or are planning to explore that and it's a very interesting initial step towards that!
