Audience Member Very good Movie. Love the Friendship between the two Barbies Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/21/24 Full Review Chynna B I could relate to Malibu Barbie so much in this film. It also has amazing animation and great songs. The film was well thought out in how the four main characters got the conflicts resolved. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Sadie D Second most ~you know~ Barbie movie after Barbie & The Diamond Castle. I love it. Girls supporting girls, bffs, romance, and following dreams! Barbie (Malibu) and Barbie (Brookyln) slay in NYC! Loved the fashion designer Rafa. (The Emmie Lee plotline was a little annoying). Barbie is an icon. Definitely watch if you're a little *flicks wrist*. The lights, the fashion, the montages, the ballad, *chefs kiss* 0 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review butterfly2507 this was a cute and fast movie. perfect to spend the evening! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Dante W Best thang ever!!! Get it gurl Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A disgrace to the precedent set by the past barbie movies. Don't get me wrong, the bar is very low for barbie movies, but you could still feel them try to be good and enjoy watching them. With this new movie, the animation is somehow worse than in the early 2000's. For your consideration, the movie Princess and the Popstar. PATP is an obvious reboot/retelling of the beloved classic barbie film Barbie in Princess and the Pauper and is often rediculed for this obvious fact. Even through that the songs, cheorography and story are far better then Big City Big Dreams. BCBD is abysmal in so many ways. The writers and animators for Mattel practically limboed under the low expectations for barbie movies and its so sad. So much joy can be derived from the clumsily handled message of girlpower and loyalty and now even that's gone. All I wish for is Barbie to return to the Princess Charm School, Fairytopia, and Fashion Fairytale era. Where the whole overaged fanbase knows full-well that the movies are badly written, and yet we can still rally to the movies to serve us happiness and a well-needed break from our everyday lives. Either bring me back to that paradise or end the barbie movies right here, right now. It's not worth the effort otherwise. In a way, we should applause BCBD. It shows us that some things aren't meant to last forever, no matter how perfect they seem. Someday the MCU will pass away and one day the pokemon anime will finally end. Time comes for all us, including Barbie. Goodbye Barbie movies, I sincerely thank you for being a massive part in my life. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
