Jonathan Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast The whole film was just a treasure trove of these minor DC heroes, villains, artifacts, and locations that all fit together under this bada-- Batman story ... I feel like the whole thing shouldn't work, but it absolutely does. Rated: 4/5 Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Sean Chandler Sean Chandler Talks About Fun, outside the box, genre bending Batman tale. Loses some steam in the second half, but still a worthwhile diversion. Rated: B Feb 17, 2021 Full Review Peter Canavese Celluloid Dreams Leans in to a distinct '70s vibe but the story's pretty forgettable and the animation's lackluster. Strictly for DC Comics fans. (4K HD Blu-ray Review). Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Grace Randolph Beyond the Trailer It's so great to see DC Animation telling original stories, especially when they're this well done. Fantastic directing, writing, voice work & action. A treat for DC fans! Jan 26, 2021 Full Review Courtney Lanning Arkansas Democrat-Gazette It's a tasty blend of (somewhat) cheesy action and a solid dose of funk -- in style and soundtrack. Jan 23, 2021 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Engaging animated superhero tale has strong violence. Rated: 4/5 Jan 20, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Jamie S This is more of a Bruce Wayne movie than a Batman movie, and the Richard Dragon character is clearing based on the late Bruce Lee. Not the best animated Batman movie, but it passes the time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Dan R Have you ever wanted to see Batman in a 70s style kung fu movie? Well now you can in DC's 'Batman: Soul of the Dragon'. Well an animated version anyway. SYNOPSIS: 'In the 1970s, a missing teacher of martial arts is the subject of a quest by his devoted and brilliant but distant students, who include Batman.' I love a good DC animated movie but this seems to be of lower quality in regards to animation and storyline. I expect more by their high standards. It's nice to to see DC telling original stories, especially when it is such a different spin on the characters. There's some fantastic directing, writing, voice work and action going on here. It is like being in a 70s kung fu movie, but overall it does slip below past levels. Not one I'll be rewatching. 6/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Michele P I'm gonna say 'BATMAN: SOUL OF THE DRAGON' is a better BOND movie than No Time To Die. Lots of fun, gained further insight into and love for Lady Shiva, was amused by the music and martial arts. Batman shares the limelight well with his companions. Their personalities are well developed and distinct, each interesting. I continue to love watching DC animated movies over the live action ones. Bravo! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/24 Full Review matthias s "Batman: Soul of the Dragon" is an animated movie that takes the audience on a trip down memory lane to the 1970s. With a groovy soundtrack and martial arts action, the film follows Bruce Wayne/Batman, along with a group of other skilled fighters, as they embark on a dangerous mission to stop a powerful villain from unleashing a deadly weapon. Despite its few shortcomings, "Batman: Soul of the Dragon" is still an enjoyable movie that offers a unique take on the Dark Knight's mythology. The voice acting is excellent, with David Giuntoli bringing a sense of gravitas to the role of Batman. Additionally, the film's nostalgic 70s setting and soundtrack make for a fun and entertaining watch. In conclusion, "Batman: Soul of the Dragon" is a decent addition to the Batman universe, though it falls short of being a standout entry. Fans of martial arts movies and retro-inspired animation will likely appreciate this film the most, but others may find it lacking in substance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Scuba S It could've used its R rating much better. Also a plot based on flashbacks is barely a plot.
