Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Commits to the concept of letting both superheroes shine... Mar 25, 2016 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 3/5 Aug 3, 2005 Full Review Peter Canavese Groucho Reviews Essentially, The Batman/Superman Movie is an action comedy, a superhero "buddy picture"...this eventful superhero adventure delivers twice the fun. Rated: 3/4 Feb 15, 2005 Full Review Widgett Walls Needcoffee.com Much better than Schumachers' Bat-flicks. But then again, so is stabbing yourself with a fork. Rated: 4/5 Aug 19, 2004 Full Review Ryan Cracknell Apollo Guide Although the look of The Batman Superman Movie works, the simple and unenthusiastic story hinders the overall presentation. Kathy S This is probably the best reimagining of how Superman met Batman and their first time working together. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Anderson O Another example of greatly portraid Batman and Superman movie in animation. Before the evolution into DCAU, this was a great and still holds up strong 25 years later. Amazing story line of two of the greatest hero’s verses two of the greatest mastermind Villians in the DC. Every voice actor stands out and shines in a magnanimous DC tale! Among the culmination of Paul Dini and Bruce Tim’s work from Batman Animated Series and Super-man the Animated Series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/05/24 Full Review Liam D While not one of the best things in the DCAU the chemistry between the two stars are so dynamic that it’s a very entertaining even with it’s short 64 minutes Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review StephenPaul C The greatest 01 hour: and 04 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The whole "Bruce Wayne dating Lois Lane" subplot (I'm a poet and I don't even know it) felt unnecessary due to the status quo making it a foregone conclusion that their relationship won't last (I did like Bruce's musing on the irony of his and Superman's situation relating to Lois) but overall World's Finest is a damn good first crossover between DCAU properties. Everything you loved about Batman and Superman's Animated Series are here. The attention-grabbing art direction, the strong voice acting, the villains being cool, the awesome action sequences, it's all there. And, much like the brilliant Mask of the Phantasm, you don't have to be terribly familiar with the lore of the other two shows to understand this made-for-TV movie. You can watch it as a standalone movie without feeling hopelessly lost (case in point, this was a problem The Transformers: The Movie ran into where there was no real transition from cartoon to big-screen film meaning that if you didn't watch the original show, you'd feel like you're missing out on something due to the film's reluctance to ease newbies into it). The Batman-Superman Movie was one darn fun crossover that further cemented the DCAU's status as some of the most compelling animated television of the '90s and 2000's. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was by far the best Batman movie ever as it had the best 4 voice actors as the main Heroes and Villains. The love-pentagon, (Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Batman, Superman, and Lois) didn't really appeal to me, but then, as a romance buff, I can't say I like ANY love-triangles. It had a better plot and acting than The Killing Joke, and the Joker's death, however faked, was perfect for the character. Might I add that my favorite superhero/villain is The Joker because of Mark Hamill's brilliant performances, which have earned him the rank of My #1 Favorite Actor. It was like watching a PG Arkham movie. 10/10! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
