Critics Consensus

This narrative retelling of the real life tragedy in Haditha is gripping and immediate but may sacrifice the subtleties of history for dramatic impact.

Laurie S Events like these occur becease the Amerinans generaly are like untrained and un discipilined todders. iE; they haven't got a clue. GOD BLESS LESS AMERICA.! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie, shows how civilians pay the price for cowards who hide in the dark (Iraqis) and other cowards (Marines) who kill women and children. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review laurie s Yet again another film depicting how the moronic US military handle themselves, shooting innocent civilians and therefore breeding more hate and more insurgents making them just as bad as the ones they have deposed. What happened to the Rules of Engagement mantra? The lack of self control they display and reckless attitude also illustrates why the US has never won a war in recent times. Shoot first and ask questions later has always been their motto every since the seventh cavalry times. It begs the question, will they ever learn? The film is a very powerful portrayal of their foolishness. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Superb, powerful and realistic film. Probably one of the best battle films of recent years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Well looks like a big Propaganda film like Platoon showing what a bunch of out of control troops we have that shoot through doors, and what a bunch of good people that were over there. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member 11/9/15 Netflix. A very interesting and detailed movie that gives a look at the effects of war on troops, civilians and enemy fighters. Again, the common people from all sides suffer the consequences of decisions made by people in high and safe places. This movie has the feel of a documentary and is much more effective because it has no recognizable Hollywood actors. The ending was a little disappointing because it did not show the resolution of the investigation and what happened to all involved. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
