Audience Member Great film everrrrrr Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member whodunit sci-fi in Chinese. Serious movie with what-if scenarios throughout. About justice with love intertwined. Law enforcement heavily entangled. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than your average Chinese thriller... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review waleed a decent movie for a while. had some cool concepts and ideas. well shot with lots of nice-looking scenes. kept me invested in the story for the most part. but i feel like they messed up a lot of things, or could have done certain things much better than they did. lots of open questions and things that don't make sense to me. it's possible that it had something to do with the language barrier, or that i missed something, but i doubt it. i think there are plot holes and things that just don't sit right. (1 viewing) SPOILERS why was the girl covering up for her mother's killer. why would the killer think the hospital worker would kill the wife. his plan seemed really convoluted and unrealistic. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains , no matter how improbable, must be the truth. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review harry g Intriguing premise of mind erasure at a private enterprise clinic as a customer has specific parts of his memory deleted while he is in the process of divorcing his wife. The husband is a successful writer of genre novels and his deleted memories get mixed with that of a serial killer as the writer is developing the memories of the serial killer and the serial killer developing the deleted memories of the writer. The writers wife now becomes the target of the serial killer as it becomes a race against time to save his wife in a somewhat convoluted manner of crosses and double-crosses in basically what is a standard generic formula driven murder who-done-it that presents nothing new at the end of this two hour movie. The direction and cinematography are competent but lacks the artistry and surreal sophistication that Christopher Nolan brought to INCEPTION and Michel Gondry brought to ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND. Those two films visually are works of art where BOM is standard assembly line fodder. The premise is still a good one and wouldn't be surprised one day to see the inevitable Hollywood remake.
