Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness A film in which the heroes are al Qaeda surrogates. Rated: F May 3, 2005 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine It’s bold, but it’s also an empty provocation – it feels like a film attempting to shock rather than a film with something to actually say. Rated: 4/10 Jun 30, 2023 Full Review John Beifuss Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) It's meant to be provocative, but it's muddled and nonsensical, with none of the liveliness or cleverness of its predecessor. Rated: 2/4 Mar 30, 2012 Full Review Keith H. Brown Eye for Film Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 7, 2007 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault If the original film flirted with controversy, the sequel has sex with it on the first date. thiago s Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/13/25 Full Review John W I liked the first movie but this sequel was a massive disappointment on nearly every level. The film is overloaded with unnecessary dialogues and the storyline becomes completely implausible. You don't care about the characters, because they are so boring and totally replaceable. The worst thing about Battle Royale II is it's long runtime. An 80 minute movie and it would still be bad but at least over quickly, with less dialogues and storylines you don't care about. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review meiji r Japanese culture is gone.... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/28/25 Full Review Audience Member It is clear that the authors tried to repeat the first part and add more global thoughts, but it did not work out well. The first part of the movie is bad, the acting of the person who plays the teacher is terrible, but then the movie starts to open up a little bit and is not as bad as it seemed. It's hard for me to evaluate the global thought of the movie because I'm from Ukraine and there is a war in my country now. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Johan B Major major miss, especially when you needed to uphold the reputation of the first one.
