Empire Magazine Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness A film in which the heroes are al Qaeda surrogates. Rated: F May 3, 2005 Full Review Jamie Russell BBC.com Rated: 3/5 May 25, 2004 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine It’s bold, but it’s also an empty provocation – it feels like a film attempting to shock rather than a film with something to actually say. Rated: 4/10 Jun 30, 2023 Full Review John Beifuss Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) It's meant to be provocative, but it's muddled and nonsensical, with none of the liveliness or cleverness of its predecessor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Johan B Major major miss, especially when you needed to uphold the reputation of the first one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Audience Member The first film is great, this one is a major miss. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Hei Det E Rules go out the window; in a flash. This is an exercise in how to fully bury your own franchise, rather than extending it. The only redeeming factor it has, is that it has a couple of good moments; it has a few bright sparks - but nothing deemed worthy of a standing applause. Not worth a second viewing; but if you're so inclined - have a watch, simply to satisfy your curiosity. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Gage A Is not relevant than the first one, its like a Japanese version of Saving Private Ryan, is a pointless film with subpar dialogue 5.6/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/11/22 Full Review Audience Member Many people state this film isnt as good as the first Battle Royale, and thats true, but its also a little unfair. Both films are very different, and I think people wanted Battle Royale 2 to carry on the feel of the first film and so would come as a bit of a letdown when it was more a war film than a Lord of the Flies type movie. Battle Royale 2 is still worth watching though and is a great action packed war movie. (seek out the longer cut rather than the theatrical version though) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
