Shivnath (Harindranath Chattopadhyay) is the head of the Sharma family, who are so thoroughly argumentative that they have succeeded in scaring away every single cook they've ever employed. So when plucky young chef Raghu (Rajesh Khanna) shows up, nobody expects him to last long. To their surprise, however, he proves remarkably adept at satisfying everyone's independent needs. No sooner do they think him their savior than all the jewelry suddenly disappears.

One song was "Tere baap ke Darr Se") and One Sanjay Dutt-Urmila Matondkar (Khubsoorat) were versions of this classic Rajesh Khanna-Jaya Bhaduri aka Bachchan, H.N. Chattopadhyaya, Asrani entertainer.
