BEATEN TO DEATH unfolds after a desperate choice leads a man named Jack down a path that leaves him beaten and bruised as he struggles against man, nature, and his own insanity. Stranded in the middle of nowhere after barely surviving a horrific assault, Jack encounters one local after another and quickly learns that a sick game of cat and mouse is about to begin. Beaten To Death is sadistic, gruesome, and smartly made and constructed, while it really pushes the limits of brutality in cinema. But beware, this movie isn’t for everyone, but the title alone is a warning to a potential audience.

Brutality unfiltered. If you liked "High Tension", "Martyrs" or "Hostel"... well, this goes one step futher. It works if you see it as an essay in graphic ultraviolence. The suffering, the pain and the anxiety are the story. The screenplay is just an excuse.

Good movie for sure, but could have been a lot better…some brutal scenes but I don't know if it qualifies as "extreme cinema"or more like "torture porn lite." My major complaint was the razor thin story line and the motivation of the main characters to get involved with the big (pro wrestler sized) meth dealer? More backstory and less brutality would have actually served the movie well. A few hard-to-watch moments but the excellent and realistic performances make this a worthwhile watch.
