A.A. Dowd IGN Movies It's just 92 minutes of tediously gratuitous suffering that makes you feel like you owe any movie ever dubbed "torture porn" an apology. Rated: 3/10 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting No matter the response Beaten to Death elicits in its viewer, there’s no question that filmmaker Sam Curtain delivers a discomforting gauntlet of extreme horror. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 21, 2023 Full Review Xero Gravity Big Gold Belt Media "This might be the only instance where I've seen hella violence with very limited gore since the 80s, but not in the best way. There's not much context to add to the situation either." Rated: 1/5 Jul 8, 2024 Full Review Alex Bentley CultureMap This type of horror movie is clearly not for everybody, and even those who get a vicarious thrill in witnessing people getting brutalized may find themselves begging for mercy. Sep 6, 2023 Full Review Rudie Obias Battle Royale With Cheese Beaten To Death is sadistic, gruesome, and smartly made and constructed, while it really pushes the limits of brutality in cinema. But beware, this movie isn’t for everyone, but the title alone is a warning to a potential audience. Sep 2, 2023 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful It’s squarely targeted at a very specific audience. And you’ll know in the first five minutes if you’re up for the challenge. This is fearless, unmerciful, and unrestrained extreme horror at its best... but don’t say I didn’t warn you. Rated: 5/5 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Abel A Brutality unfiltered. If you liked "High Tension", "Martyrs" or "Hostel"... well, this goes one step futher. It works if you see it as an essay in graphic ultraviolence. The suffering, the pain and the anxiety are the story. The screenplay is just an excuse. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/14/24 Full Review Jaxson S boring, the reveal is laughably underwhelming, characters empty. Completely skippable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/25/24 Full Review Zardoz Z It wasn't boring at least! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Jerry Jenae S Beaten to Death will test the limits of the audience it reaches and is ultimately a shocking and breathtaking feat of barbaric realism in cinema. Read the full review at whiskeyandhorror.com Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Taj V Good movie for sure, but could have been a lot better…some brutal scenes but I don't know if it qualifies as "extreme cinema"or more like "torture porn lite." My major complaint was the razor thin story line and the motivation of the main characters to get involved with the big (pro wrestler sized) meth dealer? More backstory and less brutality would have actually served the movie well. A few hard-to-watch moments but the excellent and realistic performances make this a worthwhile watch.
