It's just 92 minutes of tediously gratuitous suffering that makes you feel like you owe any movie ever dubbed "torture porn" an apology. Go to Full Review

No matter the response Beaten to Death elicits in its viewer, there’s no question that filmmaker Sam Curtain delivers a discomforting gauntlet of extreme horror. Go to Full Review

"This might be the only instance where I've seen hella violence with very limited gore since the 80s, but not in the best way. There's not much context to add to the situation either." Go to Full Review

This type of horror movie is clearly not for everybody, and even those who get a vicarious thrill in witnessing people getting brutalized may find themselves begging for mercy. Go to Full Review
Rudie Obias Battle Royale With Cheese 09/02/2023
Beaten To Death is sadistic, gruesome, and smartly made and constructed, while it really pushes the limits of brutality in cinema. But beware, this movie isn’t for everyone, but the title alone is a warning to a potential audience. Go to Full Review

It’s squarely targeted at a very specific audience. And you’ll know in the first five minutes if you’re up for the challenge. This is fearless, unmerciful, and unrestrained extreme horror at its best... but don’t say I didn’t warn you. Go to Full Review

Robert S Sep 22 Well, it delivers what it promises. Gratuitous violence, unrelenting bleakness, and savage brutality and a graphically nasty ending. That is not my idea of a fun viewing experience. It stops being entertainment and becomes a whole new form of torture to sit through. Are Australians really this nasty and gross and sick minded? Because every movie set there seems to portray them that way. This movie does nobody any favors, least of all the viewer. It’s like a Tales from the Crypt segment, drained of all the black humor and surprise. See more B P Apr 24 Ultra-Violent Survival Horror Film More Than Earns Its Title See more Sam G Jan 7 Another entry into the modern canon of ultraviolent torture porn. There's not really a plot/theme/lesson here, save perhaps "people are cruel and untrustworthy." If you're a fan of torture porn for the sake of torture porn, go for it. Most others should steer away. See more Di M Jan 4 It's not great but it's not awful either. Gratuitous brutality if you're interested I that sort of thing. See more Tyler B Jan 2 You'll think be blinding isn't much worse than watching this movie. See more Abel A 09/14/2024 Brutality unfiltered. If you liked "High Tension", "Martyrs" or "Hostel"... well, this goes one step futher. It works if you see it as an essay in graphic ultraviolence. The suffering, the pain and the anxiety are the story. The screenplay is just an excuse. See more Read all reviews
