See more 04/27/2018 Li Yuran, played with exceptional grace and brillo by Gwen Lun-Mei, is a straight laced, tough, almost mute attorney who packs a punch in a few words and takes no crap from anyone. She has learned to live alone to achieve what she thinks is the dream life and is quick to push away anyone who tries to break her mold. As she is driving one night, she gets into a car accident and the movie really takes off after this pivotal scene. What Beautiful Accident does in its development of Li Yuran as a woman, a person, a lawyer and as a human being is nothing short of magical. To give anymore away, would be to deny you the magic and sheer delight in one of the best almost-dead-but-gets-a-second-chance to love movies. Do not under estimate the power of love, comedy, drama and karma that this movie rolls into one scene after another. Chen Kun is excellent in his role and the actors who portray the kids are superb. This is a movie whose ending is, expected, but as it unfolds, you will be surprised at the twists the writers included. Easily one of the best Chinese films I have seen in ages. I need to find my next Gwen Lun-Mei flick. She is easy on the eyes and simply marvelous in this role. See more 06/20/2017 Very charming movie. This one took me by surprise.
