Test T @TestTest1 03/04/2024 I watched this on DVD recently. It's a heartwarming, if overly sentimental, tale with a lovely happy ending which is a little too perfect. However, the story is decent, the scenes are varied and attractively shot, and the chemistry between Hush and Joe has a turbulent realism which is entertaining to watch. The crime scenes are tame for the genre, and in keeping with the family friendly 15 rating. Both leads face personal crises in their lives, but approach them in totally different ways. Sharon Stone's Hush is sassy and reckless, while Billy Connolly's Joe is calm and self assured, but somehow they manage to succeed together. To be honest, I expected Sharon Stone to perform well, as indeed she did, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good Billy Connolley performed along side her. I enjoyed the film, and have no problems recommending it. See more 12/18/2009 I really love "Beautiful Joe" ,so I tend to overrate it (It should be a 7 at most)... Cute ,heartwarming comedy and drama.Did I mention that is also an action movie? Sharon Stone plays very well her lunatic role and the kids are awesome (Gil Bellowe,Jurnee Smollett). One of those "why not believe in happy endings" movies.
