Joshua Rothkopf Los Angeles Times Why are these guys so boring? It’s a mystery that won’t be probed by director Bernard MacMahon and co-writer Allison McGourty, who tick off the usual gigs and recording anecdotes on the rise to fame with a then-this-happened dutifulness. Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Ludovic Hunter-Tilney Financial Times The master-musicianship that the press initially overlooked, and which the tales of bad behaviour obscure, is front and centre here. Rated: 4/5 Feb 14, 2025 Full Review Tracey Thorn New Statesman For the duration of this film I was in a forgiving mood, won over by the visceral thrill of the band’s sound. Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills I’ll admit they were never a personal favorite, but Bernard MacMahon’s film makes a pretty great case for them, drawing on a wealth of archival performance footage. Even among numerous fine rock docs in recent years, this ranks near the top. Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Lisa Laman Culturess Too polished and surface-level for its own good, Becoming Led Zeppelin’s inevitably drags mightily. Feb 25, 2025 Full Review Joe Friar Fort Worth Report The next great Rock n Roll documentary has arrived. Fantastic. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 22, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Robert D Fantastic origin story of a great band. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Tammy Loved the interview with John Bonham and watching the reactions of the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. Surprisingly little mention of the band members drug/alcohol use during this period of time in their careers. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/25 Full Review MARALYN F I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The behind the scenes details of how these musicians started out individually and then evolved into the ultimate Led Zeppelin. The music was spectacular as one would expect. The only negative I can say abut my experience was that a guy in front of me seemed to think he was John Bonham reincarnated and dramatically air drummed and gyrated through of the film and only toned it down a bit after I couldn't take it any longer and asked him to please stop as it was very distracting. He was not receptive to my plea, I know this was a movie with rock music, and if it were a concert this would be expected by the audience. But I looked around the whole theatre to see if this was the norm. It was not. He was the only one so I felt justified, not just an old woman who didn't get it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/25 Full Review Rosalie I loved it! I loved the unseen interviews and footage. I also loved that they left it where they did. They left the opening for another miv.. hint hint. I would definitely go to another movie... if they release one. I'm a huge les zeppelin fan. Thank you for giving me awesome tunes to grow up with and continue to listen to it today Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review Oaege Back story prior to the band forming, the band members childhood, and rare concert footage made this an absolute must-see for Zeppelin fans and non-fans alike. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/25 Full Review heather s Loved this. Learned a lot about how the band came together and how they learned to work together and hone their craft. Wish it went beyond 1970/LZII- but I get it was becoming Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
