Rosie M This film fills me with hope. A beautiful story in reclaiming a sense of self, and what it means to live in your purpose. Finnerty Steeves writes and acts with such heart, nuance, and relatability. I also LOVE to see the New York acting community so well showcased. It's a love story to new york, friendships, and creative pursuit. Must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review leni c I like how the female friendships play a crucial role in Before/During/After, empowering the main character Jennie and helping her find strength. The actress that plays Jennie (Finnerty Steeves) has a truly expressive face! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review james e This film explores the devastation of divorce thoroughly. The harrowing experiences of the protagonist and her strength not only surmount the slide into disaster, but also the absurdities of life and relationships. Stellar cast. A real, hard won triumph of the human spirit with some help from friends and family. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review greg r Really? 100% critic and 73% audience? What did you all watch? This couple had zero connection. And ultimately, I can't imagine any of you were invested in anything that happened to them. Good closing song so at least I got a song out of this dull emotionless movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member There are so many of my fav actors in this film. Really enjoyed it, highly recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member It was so refreshing to see an honest and poignant portrayal of a woman going through a divorce…it felt real not like some caricature of the idea of a divorce. (Anyone who is a member of the D club IRL knows what I'm talking about.) Often hilarious yet always painfully authentic in the storytelling and performances, I truly loved this film. Jun 11, 2021 Full Review Nicole Ackman In Their Own League But it's the ability to have elements of humor alongside heartbreak that make Before/During/After a standout amongst other relationship movies. Rated: 4/5 May 20, 2021 Full Review Amanda Mazzillo Film Inquiry Time and how relationships and people change is of major importance in Before/During/After, and this comes through beautifully in the film's structure. Apr 15, 2021 Full Review Lucy Buglass Lucy Goes to Hollywood I honestly thought this film was a triumph, and perfectly illustrates what it's like to have a relationship and years of your life crumble before your eyes. Rated: 5/5 Mar 24, 2021 Full Review Charles Koplinski Reel Talk with Chuck and Pam Filled with poignant moments, the film never forgets that in many tragic moments, there is also an element of comedy. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Feb 11, 2021 Full Review Kyle Bain Film Threat While similar movies exist, this comedic drama explores the opposing side of those cheesy rom-coms. Even though the content is heavy, it is enjoyable because it's real. Rated: 8.5/10 Aug 10, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
