STU L I recently watched this film again on video and gained a deeper appreciation for it than I had previously. I noticed how genuine the dialogue seemed, as if we were observing a real conversation rather than one that was designed to advance the plot. It brought back memories of a similar encounter I had with a young woman I met during my student days when I travelled through Europe. Knowing I was unlikely to return, we did not exchange addresses. In short, I consider this to be the greatest screen romance of all time.
