Steve Davis Austin Chronicle What they say is something all of us should take to heart, regardless of that number we refer to as our age. Rated: 3/5 Jun 19, 2014 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times In the end, one wonders exactly what Raval wants to say here except that the challenges of growing old in America are not confined to one sexual orientation or another. Jun 12, 2014 Full Review Tom Keogh Seattle Times A bittersweet documentary that follows three gay men in different parts of the country who feel time and change breathing down their necks. Rated: 3/4 Jun 5, 2014 Full Review Fr. Chris Carpenter Movie Dearest The documentary doesn't make growing old (especially as gay men) something to look forward to exactly, but it goes a way in helping to demystify or de-stigmatize it. Rated: B Jun 14, 2014 Full Review Jamie S. Rich Oregonian Touching and poignant, offering inspiring men a platform to show their struggles and triumphs during a stage of life that rarely gets its due, despite it coming to all of us eventually. Jun 13, 2014 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Warm and heartfelt, but tedious, overlong and intellectually underwhelming. Jun 2, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The film wore the writer/director's sexuality on its sleeve at every turn and strongly detracted from the comedic impact. Boorish, sexual predictors (aka men in general) lurk at every corner along with the forced tween character of "Dodge" with rainbow striped golf shirts. They had Judith Light willing to play an over the hill, half demented soap opera star...which will never happen again...and this should have been mined for the colossal comedic potential that it offered. Instead this character was squandered as were the acting talents of Baldwin and MP. The production standards and camera work were also jarringly amateurish. In one scene...a character comes to a gate but the camera keeps going past her down an iron fence. Some shots were overly bright and others under lit lit. Scenes showing auditions, paparazzi, and stage directors were phony looking. The film plods along and goes off on tangents until tedium sets in. They should have shortened it by a half an hour and used more of Judith Light in the time remaining. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Heartbreaking, life-affirming and thought-provoking doc that should-be necessary viewing for every gay person who never considers the "invisible" years ahead. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a wonderful film viewing experience - heartwarming, humorous and humane. Provides a window into the worlds of three everyday, yet extremely compelling, characters, and tells its story with such great joy and compassion. It's a documentary about gay seniors, but is really about aging, the human condition, and the dreams that unite us. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
