A series of calamities befalls an ill-assorted acting troupe that is trying to tour a misconceived production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest." With no money, no experience, and no contacts, a would-be director somehow manages to gather together a group of misfits to stage the production, first in a bar in Soho, then in a Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh, and then, somehow, through theft and skulduggery on the streets of Paris.
