David Mattin BBC.com The Benchwarmers is better than it should have been. Only, that's not saying much. Rated: 2/5 Jun 6, 2006 Full Review Damon Wise Empire Magazine Even Jon Lovitz with a Batmobile, a dwarf attack in a playroom, and David Spade's best wig ever can't save this mawkish misfire. Rated: 1/5 Jun 2, 2006 Full Review Trevor Johnston Time Out Just when the baseball slapstick starts wearing thin, a final-reel gush of truly cynical sentiment on behalf of the physically challenged sends the ordeal-factor off the scale. Jun 1, 2006 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com It takes a very special person to enjoy The Benchwarmers. I am such a person. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 2, 2020 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof A very bad movie and that unfortunately will raise enough money at the box office to continue financing this kind of nonsense. [Full Review in Spanish] Feb 12, 2020 Full Review Simon Weaving Screenwize In the last line of the film, as the final credits thankfully disappear, Richie casually says "that was a waste of time wasn't it?" Yes. Definitely. Rated: 1/5 Oct 10, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Ed R Boy, this Happy Madison Production was a tough one to watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review SkyRo P My son recently watched the movie Benchwarmers for the first time, and it was a joy to see him laughing his way through the entire film. As he is becoming more interested in baseball, this movie really resonated with him. Despite not being a flawless film, its humor and quirky wit kept him entertained from start to finish. While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, its over-the-top and hilarious nature makes it a worthwhile watch. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the mood for some silly, yet entertaining humor. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review James E A cute, easy laugh movie with a simple message and a decent amount of gross out humor type chuckles. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Vivek B One of the best baseball movies that I keep coming back to. Funny and relaxing. 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Victor P I thought it was clever and funny. It's like The Bad News Bears meets The Three Stooges. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/08/24 Full Review Adam D Good lord this movie isn't funny at all and has a bunch of washed up losers in it. The only thing worse is the sequel. More losers who have no career from top to bottom GList cast at best Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
