Nicolas Rapold New York Times The director, who also wrote the story, doesn't nurture the dramatic life of her characters sufficiently for them to stand alone. Apr 20, 2014 Full Review Shaun Munro Film School Rejects This slight, deliberate tale of strained families keeps the audience at a distance, making it a curiously uninvolving sit that rarely engages on even the most basic level. Audience Member Neat, even looks like a Frenchie. Loose, superficial & lacks of interaction between the two protagonists especially. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Subdued desperation builds through the movie as the protagonists each attempt to deal with their own difficulties. Some details are perhaps not quite clear enough (at least to this western viewer) but the struggles of the chauffeur and his employer balance and compliment each other nicely leading up to a conclusion that seems just right. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliantly paced, well observed and emotionally powerful. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
