Bobby K The movie has a hard hitting, very real feel and is filled with desperate characters while the body count keeps piling up. Director Nick Felice kept the story moving in a breathless pace and I found the story engaging. Robert Laenen shines as the lead actor Ben. As an actor who also has a stuntman background, he keeps the movie grounded and his character believable and relatable. Martez Moore and Carter Burch have great chemistry as they try to one up the other, and made memorable bad guys like a bickering odd couple. “Bet on Ben” has very raw sensibilities reminiscent of “Pulp Fiction” which I loved. The plot twists are surprising and the climatic ending is a doozie. I would recommend this movie to fans of the gritty and raw crime drama genre.
