(ENGLISH) Some movies make no sense but still manage to entertain. Beyond Skyline is one of them. It doesn’t really matter if the story is absurd, if the characters barely exist, or if logic is thrown out the window. What matters here is the action, the explosions, and the aliens hell-bent on invading everything. And in that regard, it does just enough to avoid being boring. From the very first minute, the movie makes it clear that it’s not here to develop characters or explore deep themes. It’s all about non-stop spectacle, with fight scenes back-to-back and visual effects carrying the weight of the film. At times, it works—there are some well-choreographed action sequences and a few surprising visual details. But when it tries to take itself seriously, the lack of script and coherence become all too obvious. The dialogue doesn’t help. It’s basic, predictable, and filled with lines that seem taken straight from a B-movie handbook. The characters don’t have much to do beyond shooting, running, and stating the obvious. There’s no development, no depth—just the bare minimum excuse to jump from one action scene to the next. Visually, it’s clear the budget was better utilized than in its predecessor. There are some flashy sequences and a few well-designed creatures. However, the film overuses certain effects to the point where they lose their impact. The soundtrack, on the other hand, is forgettable, adding nothing to enhance the tension or amplify the epic feel of the scenes. In the end, Beyond Skyline is nonsense, but at least it’s entertaining nonsense. If you go along with its game and don’t expect anything beyond a logic-free action fest, you might have a decent time. But if you're looking for something more, you’re better off searching elsewhere. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Anastasia B Meh. I didn't have high expectations going into this movie and I came out feeling the same way I did at the beginning. Very below average alien movie. The acting, the plotline was boring and almost cringe-worthy. It was very confusing as well. The only thing I enjoyed about this film was the CGI. Pretty incredible in that sense. But looks, doesn't equate a good film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/09/24 Full Review Cass S Thoroughly entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/30/24 Full Review L Fighting, always fighting!!! Nothing else!!!! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/23/23 Full Review Rea K I loved the story line the acting was good and great sci-fi movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Ahmed S Very destructive of reasonable thinking, noway this movie is conceived from ideas it is just improvisations with no character buildup at all.
