Peter Bradshaw Guardian There are lots of redundant and silly moments, as well as some overripe acting from Juliet Mills, but some disturbing and interesting stuff as well. Rated: 3/5 Apr 8, 2020 Full Review Anton Bitel Little White Lies Beyond The Door is too odd, too indefinable, too singular, to be dismissed as merely derivative. Mar 30, 2020 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times It's all trash, but it's scary trash. I wouldn't call it entertainment, but it's a diversion, all right. Rated: 1/4 Apr 29, 2018 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ... uses San Francisco locations with some skill, and has a very powerful shock moments, one involving toys coming to life. The opening narration, by the Devil, of course, is pretty chintzy, but there’s plenty for genre connoisseurs to enjoy... Rated: 3/5 Jan 23, 2024 Full Review Dilys Powell Sunday Times (UK) A repulsive experience. Oct 3, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member What’s beyond the door? Oliver Hellman directs one of the many popular exorcist horror films made popular by William Friedkin This one is actually an Italian horror picture with a different name It involves a pregnant woman carrying around a devils baby Dimitri during a ritual lets her escape and a mysterious voice tasks him with tracking her down If he succeeds delivering the child he’ll gain more years to his lifespan But the terror begins when other members of a family of 4 start to notice the demonic forces This one takes its time as far as the scares, they are more spread out from each other Yet there is a really creative scene involving a bedroom moving on its own There’s a lot of that classic 1970s jazz when it comes to the background music The soundtrack does get very distracting from what’s supposed to be a scare fest By the last half it goes all out There’s definitely stronger films of this magnitude Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Audience Member Weird and creepy throughout, Beyond the Door's absurd dialogue and period kitsch end up meshing well with some genuinely scary moments and convincing make-up effects. HIGHLY derivative, but worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Deliciosa locura de Ovidio G Assonitis, claramente rip-off de El Exorcista, pero que es tan absolutamente extraña y rocambolesca que no puedo parar de apreciarla. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Spooky and trippy (time warps!?) stuff that's sort of undone by some questionable editing choices (lots of freeze framing for no good reason) and downright annoying musical interludes. This follows watching the international cut of the movie (The Devil Within Her) ...or the only version available on non-obsolete formats ...also the most complete version. Though here I'd guess completeness doesn't necessarily equal greatness. I'd like to seek out the US edit which I understand corrects a lot of what ails this movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly effective 70's demonic possession horror, in spite of ripping off bits from "The Exorcist" and "Rosemary's Baby". Somewhat nonsensical, as well, but still worth a viewing Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member So many parts of this movie are just some strung together scenes and sequences that make no sense, as the lead actor being pursued by some street musicians, one is playing a recorder using his nose, as the poor man tries to get away from these "demons????"
